Specialist MSK & APPI Pilates Physiotherapist
Lesley is our Specialist MSK/Pilates Physiotherapist, qualifying in 2006 following completion of her Masters degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Teeside. This was preceded by a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science. After a stint in the NHS, gaining a wide range of clinical experience, Lesley worked in an occupational heath setting, helping employers and employees alike benefit from her expertise, and ensuring their physical and mental wellbeing.
Lesley’s passion, however, remained the provision of hands-on musculoskeletal physiotherapy and, in 2009, made the move to private practice where she has remained since. She is a qualified APPI Pilates Instructor, and has post-graduate qualifications in Musculoskeletal Medicine and acupuncture.
Lesley is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council, and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Massage Therapist
Sarah has over 10 years experience in a variety of techniques in massage and complementary therapies all obtained through VTCT training and FHT recognised further training. Along with the massage treatments (Swedish/Sports/Deep tissue/Pregnancy), Sarah is trained in Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Indian Head, Reflexology, Hot Stone, & Aromatherapy.
She is also trained in The Bowen Technique, a hands-on treatment using gentle movements of the fingers & thumbs on very specific locations of the body – tendons/ligaments/nerves. It works on skin or through clothes, and has no contra-indications.
She loves being able to get people feeling the best they can be, in line with her motto – “There is a therapy out there for everyone, you just have to find what suits you”
Yoga Instructor
Justine has been practising Yoga for over 20 years and has learnt from many inspiring teachers, including Christine Howitt and Padmadarshini from Manchester Buddhist Centre and Janine Hurley of Creative Calm in Prestwich. At Delta, Justine’s aim is to teach a calm class enabling students to enjoy a whole-body stretch as well as strengthening, with a focus on connecting to the breath. Her classes are accessible to all bodies and minds and are suitable for complete beginners to experienced yogis. Justine offers teaching which can be adapted to individual students and the message throughout is that yoga is not about how you look, it’s about how it makes you feel!
In her own words, Justine describes the effect Yoga has had on her life – “Yoga has brought and continues to bring positive benefits to my life; my body, mind, spirit, emotional health and general well-being. It is an honour for me to share my knowledge and experience of Yoga with students and enable them to experience all Yoga has to offer.
