Summer Lovin’

So we are into our 3rd month now, and the pace is really starting to pick up. The clinic is buzzing with patients and clients, and Delta Team is steadily growing. Our rehab area and studio are complete, with Dan providing his Powered Up Training programmes to clients looking to get fitter & stronger. Sarah is very busy with massage clients, and interestingly we have had a number of people booking in for Lymphatic Drainage massage which is great.

We are fortunate to have had another fantastic physio join the team, with a wealth of experience in elite sport and MSK. They are a great addition to the clinic, and more will be revealed in due course! From June, we will be providing Pilates classes and 1-2-1 sessions which we anticipate will book up quick given the popularity of Pilates as a treatment and fitness discipline, so watch this space for further details.

As we move into Summer, the event physiotherapy comes thick and fast. Jack has already been at PGA Catalunya in Girona with GroceryAid. Next up is the Great Manchester Run on 20th May, providing pre/post race physio & massage for runners representing the amazing Booth Centre. We were invited to go and the see the incredible work the team does, working with the homeless of Manchester for the past 20 years. And believe us, they are incredible. Shameless plug, but if you want to donate, check out their JustGiving page and help make a change.

After that comes The Biggie…The Dallaglio CycleSlam, a legendary charity bike ride. Jack has been a part of the medical team for the Slam for the past two events, and finds himself again jetting off for two weeks solid work. The route is from Evian in France, through Switzerland, into Italy, then Slovenia, and finishing in Croatia. Early starts and late finishes are the order of the day, ensuring that the riders are able to get on their bikes day after day after day for a total of 3 weeks. It is, quite simply, the toughest 2 weeks of physio but the most incredible experience, and we are very fortunate to be involved again.

The two weeks after the Slam sees us providing physiotherapy for two tennis events; one in Cheshire and the other in Leeds, with the players all being ex-professionals and major winners. Sandwiched in between, we are the official physiotherapy providers for the Heaton Park 10k, looking after 500 runners before and after the event.

So all in all, a very busy few weeks, but exciting as well. This little project of ours is really gaining traction now, with some exciting times ahead.
